Episode Summary:
The PinkHamster leads off by congratulating the kids who solved last week's homework assignment: HeroicPatch, Ruban, and JumpyHoney. And yes, they earned the prize! Don't worry, there is another Puzzle of the Week this week (see below), so you can still earn the prize by solving that one!
The PinkHamster next goes over the solution to last week's puzzle for all to see. It turns out that it was a Zugzwang Puzzle. A German word, Zugzwang means "move compulsion," and is the topic of this Episode. The PinkHamster moves on to several other amazing Zugzwang examples, and talks about the shift in thought process that you must learn to undergo when moving from the middlegame into the endgame.
The PinkHamster wraps up with Battle the Hamster, playing three back-to-back live Blitz Chess games against first HeroicPatch, the winner of last week's puzzle contest, and then FirstDream, and MathGuy.
