Episode Summary:

In this End of Year Special, the PinkHamster is joined by a special guest...the PlayfulSquirrel! The two continue to look at amazing Zugzwang examples, starting with the "homework assignment" from last week. Congratulations to the kids who solved it (funpad, HeroicPatch, RubanHealthyChicken, FlakyBird, and SkillfulEntrance).

We learn about creating potential zugzwang positions by "restricting enemy pieces" and after two amazing puzzle examples we see a beautiful and incredibly rare kind of thing: a "middlegame zugzwang," from the game Saemisch - Nimzowitsch.

To conclude the show, our special guest, the PlayfulSquirrel, steps up to the plate to battle with (in sequence) SturdyPizza, funpad, ervi_ervi, and JumpyHoney. All the kids play very well, but the final game against JumpyHoney is especially close, interesting, and exciting!
