Hi everyone! We hope you are enjoying the video lectures here on ChessKid.com. This article will remain as a "running list" of all the video series (sets of related videos) on ChessKid.com, with short descriptions about each series in order to help guide you through the learning process
. If you click on any of the links for a series listed below, it will take you to a short article with descriptions of each video in that series. Then you will find links to each of those videos!
Ok, if someone doesn't know how to move the pieces, the video that covers the rules is here.
Now, it would be good to learn:

Basic Checkmates: this series will reinforce the concept of checkmate, and teach the student some very good basics of using the pieces one by one with checkmates that are possible at the end of the game.
Language of Chess: Each video covers one chess term, explaining what it is and giving an example (in some cases a few).
Now depending on what interests your student, the further series are broken up by category-- opening, tactics, strategy, endgame, how to think, and fun! Within each category they are listed from most beginner to most advanced; and some are listed more than once because they belong to more than one category.
