2017 Pan American Youth Championships in Costa Rica!

The Costa Rica Chess Federation invites all ChessKids to the 28th Pan American Youth Championships and Festival, from June 30th to July 7th, 2017, in San José, Costa Rica. The event will be held at the Wydham Herradura Convention Center.

Players can compete in one of 12 categories: U18, U16, U14, U12, U10 and U8 Open and Girls. The tournament is FIDE rated and IM, WIM, FM, WFM, CM and WCM norms can be earned.

The festival will also organize special activities for the players and parents, such as music concerts, a city tour, and a museum visit!

 

Grandmaster Susan Polgar will be the special guest and will have an autograph signing, lectures, and a simul limited to only 25 participants!

 

The registration deadline is May 30th so don't miss your chance to join the in the fun and competition! You also can stay a few more days and explore the sites in beautiful Costa Rica!
