-----------------------------------

Not every ChessKid game ends in mate! This game will have three winners.

How is this possible? We are announcing the ChessKid Fall Photo Contest! The best photos posted to your Facebook page and tagged with @ChessKid.com will win free ChessKid memberships.

The rules are simple. Go to the ChessKid Facebook page here and "like" our page.

Then post any chess photo to your Facebook page or your chess program's Facebook page with the caption "ChessKid Photo Contest." Make sure to also tag us @ChessKid.com.

Please include a brief description of the picture and of your program or child. The best photos will also be posted to our Facebook page.

The photo can be kids playing at summer camp, kids playing on ChessKid.com, a giant chess set you found in Austria, whatever. It must only have some sort of chess theme. Yes, if you sought out Bobby Fischer's grave in Iceland this summer, that would count too!

The photo has to be original to you (no scouring the web to find a picture). By posting, you also consent to letting us use the photo for promotional purposes. Don't worry, we're not going to make coffee mugs out of it!

FunMasterMike is not eligible to win!!

The contest begins September 1, 2016 and ends September 30, 2016. You may enter up to three times (by posting three unique photos) from a single Facebook account. The photos can come from the past or be taken especially for the contest.

As always, ChessKid staff has the final say with any rules not posted here.

These grandmasters are pretty excited that they may win free memberships to ChessKid!

PRIZES!

There will be three winners, all receive $100 in ChessKid credit. That's enough for two years of a single gold membership or one year of three gold memberships. There will be no cash given out, just ChessKid credit on the site.

One winner will be the photo with the most "likes" so get your friends and family to vote for yours.

Two winners will be voted on by ChessKid.com staff. Note that silly, fun, interesting, and scenic all play well with us! But as with art, there's no magic formula.

Our own PoppaBear bowing to the Chess Jawa? That's a good contender!

Why not make this a contest in your chess clubs? Kids can take great photographs too!

Free ChessKid memberships?! World Champion Magnus Carlsen can't believe what he's reading.
