I wish I could tell you that my first win against a 2400 was perfectly-played and worthy of a chess book!
Well, it didn't happen that way. I won a pawn, but like all strong players, he found a way to make some counterplay.
I had weakened my own king and there were plenty of tactics. I missed one trick that would have made my life a lot easier, but luckily things still worked out. See below for all the (nail-biting) fun!
Wow, I really could have used some better "Winning Technique" or at least a reminder of "Back-Rank Mate!" If only they had ChessKid back then!
