Well...there will be a few "oops" moments in our weekly Wednesday blog, but let's save those for later on down the road!
I'm guessing you've learned all about back-rank checkmates, either from your coaches or from ChessKid. In my first state championship, my only two losses were from back-rank mate. Why? I had never seen it before!
But now...it's one of my favorite weapons:
