If you’re a teacher or coach using ChessKid, you probably work with more than just one student. You’ll still set up Kids accounts for all of your students & distribute their usernames and passwords to them, but there are a few more tools which may be helpful for you:
The Add a Kid tool:
The Add Multiple Kids tool:
The Print Login Cards tool:
Now, you'll need to give your students their usernames & passwords. There's a great tool you can use to generate a printable handout for your students: "Print Login Cards"
ChessKid Tip: Keeping track of individual students can be difficult without some planning. We recommend requesting custom usernames, even if they take a little time to get approved. It will help you, as the teacher or coach, identify students quickly, and they allow the other students in each class or club identify each other to challenge to games and on Leaderboards. Our recommendation is something the kids will recognize, like “SchoolNameFirstName” something like “EastoverChristine.”
ChessKid Tip: If you know you’ll have several groups of kids you’ll be creating, consider setting up your Clubs before creating your Kids’ accounts – you’ll have the option to immediately add them to a Club when creating the account. Also, if you add kids one at a time (instead of using the “Add Multiple Kids” tool), you have the option to attach real first & last names (visible only to guardians) as you create the accounts. No need to edit each kid’s account later!
