Join The ChessKid Holiday Special, Meet QueenElsa!

Santa is busy making toys, his reindeer are getting the sled ready, and QueenElsa is coming to ChessKid! I bet you didn't know that she played chess? Oh, and she's really good!

That's right, Elsa is about to use her powers and "Let It Go" on the chessboard versus all ChessKids. The first-ever ChessKid Holiday Special with Elsa and FunMasterMike will be Monday, December 21 at 7am Pacific/10am Eastern on Chess.com/TV (or our regular Twitch and Youtube channels).

In order to have a chance to play Elsa, make sure you send a friend request to "QueenElsa" before the show starts. Elsa will want to know that you are coming!

"Chess is such a fun game and I'm looking forward to using my powers on a chess board," QueenElsa told ChessKid.

Before the games start, FunMasterMike will help ChessKids get to know her better. I plan to ask her:

• Where did she grow up and was chess popular there?
• Who taught her to play chess and who did she play against as a girl?
• Was there anyone she found it really hard to beat but who inspired her to study more?
• What kind of powers does she use to be successful at chess?
• What's her favorite holiday food? OK that has nothing to do with chess, but we all need to eat something before a big game!
