Judit Polgar Comes to ChessKid.com!

ChessKid.com has started an exciting new partnership with Judit Polgar, the #1 female chess player of all time! Judit was taught chess from an early age by her father along with her two older sisters, and became a Grandmaster at just 15 years old! Today, a mother herself, Judit is furthering chess education for children; in fact, she is now pioneering a chess curriculum to be introduced into Hungarian schools. She has also released a new chess app just for kids and a new book describing her early chess career. (You can learn more about these below!)

Judit Polgar's New Chess App

Check out Judit's new chess app, designed for beginner chess kids! The app contains numerous lessons introducing rules and basic strategy in a systematic, step-by-step process. Our very own PoppaBear (IM Danny Rensch) has written a review of the app, which can be found here. If you have young children who are just beginning to learn the game, this app is perfect for you!

Judit Polgar's New Book
.
In December, 1991, Judit achieved the most prestigious chess title, International Grandmaster, after winning the Hungarian National Championship. At 15 years and 5 months old, this made her the youngest player in history to earn the Grandmaster title, beating Bobby Fischer's record by one month. Judit's new book, How I Beat Fischer's Record, is a personal account of her early chess career. The book looks back on many of her amazing games and gives unique insight into the mind of a young chess prodigy!
