Puzzle Duel: Free for 2 Weeks!

Have you been wanting to try ChessKid's Puzzle Duel feature?

Good news, ChessKids: we are making Puzzle Duel FREE for the next two weeks! You can challenge your friends, your cousins, your coach, or random kids as much as you like!

And coaches, why not host a Puzzle Duel competition for all of your kids!

I wonder if anyone will play more than 100 duels in the next two weeks? What do you think?

As some of you will remember, we hosted a big event for the second half of May called Puzzle MAYven! For the two-week period, we made all of the puzzles on the site free. We were in awe of the amount of puzzles everyone completed. The winner alone finished over 4,700 puzzles! ChessKids across the world competed for a spot on the leaderboard.

We had SO much fun with Puzzle MAYven that we decided to do another event! After talking about the BEST possible feature, we decided Puzzle Duel was the perfect choice. This way, you can play against your friends! 

 

Puzzle Duel is an exciting feature that allows kids to race against each other in a real-time puzzle race. It's basically "live" or "fast" chess, but for puzzles. It has been very popular (Chess.com calls it "Puzzle Battle" but we had it first!). In fact, we've recently added leaderboards and rankings! Puzzle Duel competitions are also a great way to engage with students and host events online.

Usually, free ChessKid users can have a few Puzzle Duels per day, while ChessKid gold members can duel as many times as they want. But from July 1st through July 15th, EVERYONE can play unlimited Puzzle Duels.
