Coming Thursday: Tani vs. The World
On November 11th at 1:30pm Pacific Tani vs. The World will start! This is the first of several "training" matches for Tani to improve and better his chances of becoming the world's youngest GM one day.Tani Adewumi is fresh off getting his FIDE rating over 2100, which was his last hurdle to becoming an FM. He will be playing a blitz match against another new title holder: IM Justus Williams, who recently earned his own step up in the chess world!
The format of the match is as follows:
- 60 mins of 5+1
- 45 mins of 3+1
- 30 mins of 1+1
This is also the first time that Tani will be playing 1-minute "bullet" games on ChessKid, which he particularly enjoys.

Justus' win against GM Awonder Liang at the Chicago Open helped him earn the FIDE points to reach IM. The game is annotated by Justus himself.
