If Yagiz seems like a familiar name to you, you're right! This 11-year-old superstar from Turkey won the 2022 ChessKid Youth Speed Chess Championship in dominant fashion, and is in great form: he's recently improved his title from FM to IM after some amazing performances.

Tani’s goal is to become the world’s youngest-ever GM, and these special training matches are all part of his journey. So far, Tani has played against two adult IMs and a GM, but this will mark the first 'Tani vs. The World' episode where he plays against one of the rare young players on the same level as him!
The first three ‘Tani vs. the World’ matches featured IM Justus Williams, IM Kostya Kavutskiy, and GM Jesse Kraai. Tani has put in some strong performances against all three opponents, and is getting valuable experience playing against top-tier titled players.
