ChessKid European Team Festival Kicks Off With Baltic Countries!

ChessKid is excited to announce the first ever ChessKid Baltic Festival! The Festival will be the first in the ChessKid European Team Festival-- a series of matches among European countries (monthly events with other countries will continue in 2022) culminating in a final event at the end of the year.

The Baltic Festival will take place January 8th at 6am PT/9am ET/3pm CET and will feature matches among four countries -- Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. Each country will field a team of four players from four different age groups (U8, U10, U12, and U14) and will be represented by two boys and two girls.

The four countries will face off in two stages. All four countries will play in a qualifier round to see who moves forward to the final.

Here's the schedule (all games will be 10 minutes with a 5 second increment):

Winners from the festival will receive free ChessKid Gold memberships for one year and will go on to have the chance to compete against the top team from other regional festival matches later this year. All participants will receive three month ChessKid Gold memberships.
