Sometimes you've got to Crush a Castle, and you've got to Crush it fast! In chess, your opponent doesn't always just lay around waiting for you to crush him. In fact, he is usually trying to crush you right back! In this video, Senor Squirrel explains how to conduct a checkmating attack when time is of the essence, and you haven't a moment to lose!
Are you up to the challenge!? In the longest and most difficult Crushing the Castle video yet, David shows us a new checkmating pattern before delving into a complicated game: one side hunts the king tirelessly, while the other mercilessly eliminates his attacking pieces one at a time! But will the defender devour the brave Castle Crushing Crew one step before checkmate, or will we see a perfect Castle Crushing finish?
We've become expert Castle Crushers, able to quickly locate the "Weakest Square" of the castle, drive away defenders, and crush through. However, sometimes things are not so easy. David shows us a dynamic example in which the Castle Crusher tears down the Castle Wall "one stone at a time," changing targets from one "Weakest Square" mid-attack to another, finishing off the king through a completely different square in the end. Tricky stuff!
You know how to attack the Weakest Square before the King has castled, but what do you do once he's tucked away safely behind his castle walls? Don't despair! Watch this video series to learn how to... Crush the Castle!
