2023 ChessKid Youth Speed Chess Championship: Round One Starts Soon!

The 4th annual ChessKid Youth Speed Chess Championship will kick off with first-round matches starting on June 10! The event will host top youth players from around the world as they face off in a series of one-on-one matches.

All players are aged 10 and under (as of January 1, 2023) and will be competing for a total prize fund of $5,000! The winner of the series will also receive private lessons with a top-rated GM (to be determined later based on the language preference of the winner).

Players will play a series of blitz matches starting with 75 minutes of 5+1 and then moving to 45 minutes of 3+1. The quarterfinals for this event will start on June 10 and continue into early July. The next rounds will start shortly after, once all Round One matches have been completed. All matches will feature live commentary.
