This summer, ChessKid, FunMasterMike, and Ivette García are heading back to London’s iconic Trafalgar Square for ChessFest — the amazing outdoor festival dedicated to chess fans of all ages!

The FREE event, hosted by Chess in Schools and Communities, will take place on Sunday, July 13 at 12:00 PM — and trust us, it’s going to be a blast! 🎊 No tickets or registration are required, and yes… everything is completely free! ♟️

🎉 We’ve got a front-row seat at ChessFest, and guess what? YOU’RE invited to join the party! Come hang out with the ChessKid crew — including the one and only FunMasterMike (yes, the real one, not a hologram 😄) until 2:00 PM! You’ll also meet other awesome team members and even some super-cool chess masters ready to wow you with their moves. 👑♟️🎈

Our famous ChessKid Puzzle Championship will be back — and this time, it’ll be up on the giant screen overlooking Trafalgar Square! 📺

We’re running TWO rounds (they’re the same, so you can try both if you want!) and here’s what you need to know to join:

✔️ Bring your own device with the ChessKid app already downloaded
✔️ Make sure you have cellular service (WiFi isn’t guaranteed!)
✔️ Sign out of your personal ChessKid account if you have one
✔️ FunMasterMike will create special one-time ChessFest accounts so everyone starts with the same rating

Then…
🕑 You’ll have 10 minutes to see who can boost their puzzle rating the fastest!
🏆 It’s a race against the clock – and your fellow chess fans. Are you up for the challenge?

Get ready for a thrilling showdown as we present the ChessKid Transatlantic Match — featuring England’s very own chess superstar Bodhana Sivanandan, taking on the talented Ashley Qian from Canada!

But wait… there’s more! 

Another exciting match will light up the board, starring two rising stars: Supratit from England and Linxi Zhu from the USA. Come cheer them on and watch the next generation of chess champs in action! 🏆♟️

🏰 Don’t Miss the Living Chess Set!

Yes, it’s back! The famous living chess set will feature 32 professional actors transforming into life-size chess pieces.

Throughout the day, they’ll recreate legendary games played by celebrity chess masters.
