How to: Buy, Upgrade and Manage Gold Memberships

 

ChessKid.com is maintaining the Gold Standard. We have two types of memberships: Free (basic) and Gold (premium). Note that we don't have different levels of premium membership as we do on Chess.com.

Gold Membership benefits are numerous - see them here! It unlocks all the unlimited instructional content of the site for your kids!

Purchasing gold memberships for the first time is easy:

Upgrade payment can be made directly by credit card or Paypal. We also accept purchase orders, and checks, and will provide invoices to schools or become "listed vendors" with your school district if need be.

Once you buy a bulk package of memberships, they're yours to give out as you wish.
Here are some ideas:
Upgrading Your Batch of Gold Memberships:

For a coach/parent who already owns a batch/package of gold memberships:

For Example:

If you bought 50 memberships six months ago, and now you need 50 more, you should purchase 100 (not for 50 "additional" memberships). Our system will then automatically credit/rollover your account for the unused time on the first 50 memberships.
 
All of your memberships would now expire one year from the new purchase date.
 
You can disable a kid's Gold Membership.
Turning off a Gold Membership retains the kid's free account, but they will no longer have access to the Gold Membership features.
Common reasons for enabling and disabling Gold access might be:

Enabling and disabling a student Gold Membership is a one-click function.

From your Coach account Home screen:

If you're the coach of a large program, you can also enable or disable Gold Memberships for all your kids at one time.

Or, you can Gold one group of students by placing them in a Club. This can be very helpful at the start of a new school year.
