ChessKid European Team Festival

The ChessKid European Team Festival continues in April again for the 4^th leg of divisions! While we saw Latvia, Slovakia and Turkey emerge victorious in the previous three (check out Region 1, Region 2 and Region 3 if you missed it), we'll have a new set of countries facing off for the fourth edition. On April 30th at 6 am PT/9 am ET/3 pm CET, join us for Region 4 featuring teams of ChessKids from four new countries.

 

 

As before, each country will field a team of four players from four different age groups (U8, U10, U12 and U14) and will be represented by two boys and two girls. 

The four countries will face off in two stages. First, all four countries will face off in a pair of semifinal matches and the winners of those matches will move forward to the final.

Here's the schedule (all games will be 10 minutes with a 5-second increment):

• 6 am PT/9 am ET/3 pm CET ( Switzerland vs Luxembourg)
• 7:15am PT/10:15am ET/4:15pm CET (France vs Belgium)
• 8:30am PT/11:30am ET/5:30pm CET (Finals)

Winners from the festival will receive free ChessKid gold memberships for one year and will go on to have the chance to compete against other top teams later this year. The second-place team will receive six months of free ChessKid gold memberships, and all participants will receive three months of ChessKid gold memberships.
