ChessKid European Team Festival Continues: Meet the 9th Region!

The next division of the ChessKid European Team Festival is coming ! The Region 9 match will take place on Saturday, November 19 at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET / 3 p.m. CET! 

Join us to watch ChessKids from Region 9 (England,  Ireland,   Netherlands Scotland  and Israel) battle it out on the board! The European Team Festival consists of tournaments across different regions, featuring a series of matches between ChessKids from different European countries.

Grand final January   

During the 9th region of the ChessKid European Team Festival, each country will field a team of four players from four different age groups (U8, U10, U12, and U14) and will be represented by two boys and two girls. 

The 9th region  tournament will consist of four Round Robin tournaments based on age: U8, U10, U12 and U14. Each tournament will be played 5 rounds.
Team points will be counted by sum of the points of each player (U8,10, 12, 14) of each team.

Time control will be 10 minutes + 5 second increment starting from the first move.

Winners from the region will receive free ChessKid Gold memberships for one year, and will go on to have the chance to compete against the top team from other regional festival matches in January 2023. All participants will receive three-month ChessKid Gold memberships.
